Fun with dirt
04/22/Sun 2007
We got together with the House Church families
the past week at Han-lim's sisters' farm. We had good
time getting to know them better and making Taiwanese
earth ovens. You carefully assemble a hollow dirt
pyramid. The digging provides a chance to find sweet
potatoes. Then you build a fire inside the pyramid,
and when it is super heated you fill it with wrapped
food items, chicken, fish, sweet potatoes, corn, etc.
Then you collapse the pyramid on red hot earth on it.
In an hour you dig up your dinner. We had a great
time doing it. Not only did we get to meet Han-lim's
relatives, but other people had friends out too.
