Why do pipes break

Sunday, Alex is doing dishes in our kitchen... "DAAAD!" I look over to see a water streaming out of the cabinet where the sink is. Upon inspection the seal connecting the sink to the drain pipe came loose. CRUD! why does stuff like this happen. Mop mop. I determine there is need to run to the local hardware store. Mind you this is store is the size of my bedroom, but manages to have anything I need.

I am greeted by Mr. Iu. (Pron. like a nasally "You") and he asks what I need. I explain in and he magically procures everything I request before I am done explaining. As I am walking out, I hear his grown daughter, who I never saw before ask, "who is that guy, and why can he speak Taiwanese?" Her dad says that I work in the church.

By this time I am getting on my bike outside. She runs out and says in English, "Are you a Christian" We talk for a while, she lets me know she is just back from overseas studying. She is hunting for a church and is desperate to find one. After exchanging phone numbers, I am pretty sure why some pipes break. (other ones, not so sure yet Happy) Pray that we can help Sandra Iu find a good church.
