About a month ago I happened upon a mutual acquaintance while biking in the mountains. Since then I have been going somewhat regularly with him and his friends. It has proved a chance to build better relationship and share a little with them. Pray for Ta-lin and the three Lau brothers. Pray that I can make it up the mountain with these guys Winking .

Chinese New Year

Our friend Mr. Ang took us out to his hometown Pak-kang. We spent the day meeting about every one of 6 uncles. We also took time with his 3rd uncle? to take a walk through the festive streets. Even though it was nice to walk around and greet people, there is a deep sadness for all those in the city. The city is literally and figuratively centered around a giant temple complex.

Jen was able to have some talks to encourage a young believer. She is the only one that we know of it that entire extended family. Jen and her spent a lot of time with her throughout the day.

Trip to the Country with the So Family

Mr. So, with whom we have been working on the Po-te-hi project, invited my family and our OMF teammate Michelle Collin to go out to the country with his family. This is a great chance to get to know his wife and kids better. We spent time just driving through the countryside and mountains, sometimes stopping to look about. We also visited his childhood home where his brother and dad live now. It was a good time to get to share some about Jesus, and to find out more about him, his wife and family.
